Laura in the desert – the double day!

Well, there’s a relief – Laura’s actually got a day off today! She’ll be back in the desert again on Friday to resume hostilities before a teeny little stroll on Saturday 🙂
I know she wanted to push on through the night stage so she’d get a longer break at the end – some folks chose to bivvy in the desert half way round…

Hello, Survived the long stage but feet are slightly broken. Should be OK for tomorrow. We lost Brian early on (no soles left on his feet) and chose to push through the night. Stopped for a chicken korma at one checkpoint and coffee at another.
Had to breakout the poles yesterday to get through it, and stuck with Claire and Sue (both lovely). Cheered on by Danny Kendal as he sped past us – nice chap!
Got in just after 5am. Knackered!
Hope all is good there. Looking forward to sleeping in a proper bed -my hips hurt!
Well done to Sampo in IMSA (did he have a sleep inT2?), and to RSE guys at Manchester.
