The Terminator
The Terminator is a challenging multi-terrain 12-mile course, with a gentle start across fields before getting serious with several very steep climbs and a sting in the tail. It takes place in the stunning Vale of Pewsey.
Looks tough to me but this man is smiling! But see what he says below

After last week’s cross country, I thought this week’s club race would be better. No. More mud, more hills, but with the added bonus of 45mph winds and nearly 1,500ft of elevation. Sharon described the race as ‘mainly flat darling, you’ll love it’. There were some amazing views, but the biggest take away is never to believe Sharon and when Elaine likes a race, it’s normally hell. But she was there this week. I ran it with Jade and we got each other through. Those hills were something else!

About the race: Wow 😮 I’ve never experienced a race with so many hills and that much mud!
Big shout out to those that did the race, you all deserve a round of applause 👏
Well organised and a lovely T-shirt to go with it, I particularly like the naming of a certain hill – wtf hill 😂Ben
The Wokingham half marathon
Starting and finishing at Cantley Park the race runs through the town centre and on fast, flat rural roads, each year producing outstanding performances including a world best V65F in 2023 & UK F50 Record in 2024. It offers fully closed roads, a race village with catering, massage, kit tent, changing & showers, bespoke race medals, pace runners, and bib-tag race timing. Nia Glover did a great time and I hope she liked the medal.
Nia Glover 1:29:36 (PB?)
It was hard work with some headwinds in the final few miles but really pleased to get the sub 1:30 milestone

Life Star Malta Half Marathon
According to the website , it’s Malta’s largest, fastest & most loved Marathon & Half Marathon. Darren and Felicity ran the half marathon and it looks like they finished with real style

Last year we visited Malta a couple of days after the annual race and I said we would make sure we would come back to do it this year! So we did.
This year was the 40th anniversary of the Malta marathon and half marathon, we signed up for the half marathon. We collected our numbers on Friday afternoon in a crowd of running tourists from across the world. The race is organised as a point to point, with organised coaches up to the start point at 6:45am! The start is in Mdina the old Maltese capital, with a walled city at the centre of the island. Starting here the race is actually mostly down hill (with only a few road ramps on route as the up hills). The weather was hotter than we expected with the forecast saying 15C and sunny, but this was boiling compared to the chilly 5C we left in the U.K.!
Darren achieved 1:48:50 and a new PB of 36 seconds! My result was my fastest half marathon for quite a while. I was particularly pleased when we were handed ice cream at the finish though. As this was the 40th anniversary, the medal commemorates both the original race and this year’s with a giant medal!

Bourton 10K
The course consists of 2 laps of the village, followed by a run out and back, finishing with 1 more small lap of the village. The course is flat, fast and traffic free. James Ball ran the course in an incredible time.

Bourton is always a fast one with a great field. Wind was gusty but a lot of fun out there. Felt strong and enjoyed it
