The 6th race in the Short stuff championship was the Flying Monk 10km in Malmesbury. Another good turn out saw 9 Men and 7 ladies competing in the race.
Men’s Competition
First in for the 10 points was David Witnall. He was followed by Mark Garrett for the 9, Ben Chapman picked up 8 points. How has this affected the results? With 1 race and the ongoing 5km being the remaining opportunity to pick up points, it is starting to get exciting! A few runners have completed 5 races, so will be using the last races to improve their score. The top 3 is as follows:
- Mark Garrett – 44 points
- David Witnall – 40 points
- Ben Chapman – 36 points
Ladies Competition
First home for the ladies was Ellie Taylor collecting 10 points, she was followed by Linda Edwards and Kirsty Pitts, collecting 9 and 8 points respectively.
The ladies competition remains exciting, with many names with the potential of making it to the top 3.
- Ellie Taylor – 45 points
- Rosie Oates – 40 points
- Kirsty Pitts and Sharon Smith – 36 points
The next championship race will be the Handicap race at Cricklade which could mix things up! Don’t forget to let me know if you have a 5km you would like to count towards the championship.
Happy Running!
